Maeve is a wine bar.
Born of the love of wine, food and warm hospitality, Maeve is the passion project of Eleanor Cappa, Maris Cook and Jesse Stevens.
With extensive hospitality experience gained in Melbourne, Sydney and Europe these three friends have reunited in their home town of Brisbane to open Maeve Wine.
Our European inspired menu offers snacks and shared plates, or something more substantial, and our versatile space offers bar seating and dining room options. We are also available for function hire. We recommend making a reservation but you are welcome to try for walk in spot any time. Come find us at 39 Melbourne St (via Grey St), South Brisbane.
History
Our old lady will be 93 this year and what a graceful beauty she is. Built in 1929 in the style of Classicism architecture during the interwar period, this State Heritage Building was first established as the Queensland National Bank. In 1929 it cost £339 to build. With a new lick of paint and some love and attention, (not to mention a hell of a lot more than 339 pounds!), she is now better than ever.
