Our old lady will be 90 this year and what a graceful beauty she is. Built in 1929 in the style of Classicism architecture during the interwar period, this State Heritage Building was first established as the Queensland National Bank. In 1929 it cost £339 to build. With a new lick of paint and some love and attention, (not to mention a hell of a lot more than 339 pounds!), she is now better than ever.
We acknowledge the traditional custodians of country, their ongoing connection to this land and we pay our respects to their culture and their Elders past, present and emerging.
